FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhat split ratios and angles of incidence are supported?
Common ratios are 50:50, 30:70, 70:30, 10:90 and 90:10, or a custom R:T. Angle of incidence is adjustable (45 degrees is typical) and the 3D preview draws the reflected and transmitted beam paths scaled to your ratio.
What is the difference between plate, polarizing and dichroic splitters here?
Plate (non-polarizing) splits a band roughly independent of polarization; polarizing (PBS) separates s- and p-states; dichroic/longpass splits by wavelength. The coating colour in the preview follows the type you pick, and back-side AR can be added.
